On of the reviews were talking about how simple the play was and how they should've changed the viewers way of thinking about the characters. The other review was talking about how they think they should've made the film bigger and more complicated to their liking.
I think through the cinema the film are free to do more in editing and effects along with controlling where the viewer is standing in the situation. I think through stage production the directors could use stronger actors and had that advantage over the audience but through film you have more freedom with your creativity.
Polanski took the written play and put as much detail and bang in it as possible. I think he put a lot more life into the book then there was already because of how close attention he had with the different scenes.
In the film I liked how they put a lot of details into every scene. From the certain color of dawn or the colors of Lady Macbeths dresses. If I was the director I would change the witches attire. Even though they are homeless and living in the woods they don't need to be naked, they could wear leaves or something. I wouldn't change Polanski's decisions in anything else, the way he put everything together was fantastic.
